Completing the seller form

Step-by-step guide to the questions we ask and why they matter.

Last updated 2026-04-12

The sell flow is a guided form. Honest answers help buyers—used car dealers, scrap yards, junkyards, and similar—price fairly and keep pickup day smooth.

What are you driving?

Start with your VIN, license plate, or basic vehicle details so we can identify the car quickly.

How is it holding up?

We ask about mileage, whether the vehicle runs and drives, tires, exterior damage, battery, catalytic converter, airbags, interior damage, and flood or fire damage. If something does not apply, answer as accurately as you can.

Can you sell it? (Title and ownership)

You must own the vehicle free and clear: you have the title (or equivalent) and the car is not leased, not still financed with a lien, and not someone else’s asset. RetireCar does not make offers for vehicles you do not own, leased vehicles, or financed vehicles that are not paid off. If you are not sure, answer carefully—buyers verify ownership at pickup.

Where should we send your offer?

Add the best contact details and where the vehicle is located so we can plan pickup.

Photos (optional)

Photos are optional but can help buyers move faster and price with more confidence. You can upload up to three images. Common formats include JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC or HEIF. Very large files may fail to upload—resize if needed.

Review and submit

Take a final look, then submit. You will be redirected to your personal offer status page.
