Offer status page and reference ID

How to track your submission, what each status means, and offer timing.

Last updated 2026-04-12

After you submit your vehicle, your offer status page is the home for live updates. Bookmark it or keep the link from your confirmation message.

Reference ID

If you are asked for a reference ID, use the code from your confirmation page or follow-up message. Enter it carefully—typos can show “not found.”

Statuses you might see

  • Submission received: we have your details and are getting started.
  • Review in progress or checking with buyers: we are working with buyers in your area.
  • Offer ready: a firm offer is available to review. Offers are time-limited; accept before they expire.
  • Offer accepted or buyer assigned: you accepted; the buyer will reach out to schedule pickup.
  • Pickup scheduled: a pickup window is set; check here if plans change.
  • Complete: the vehicle has been picked up and the sale is finished.
  • Refreshing offer: an earlier offer timed out and we are working on an updated one.

How offers are prepared

RetireCar focuses on real, current offers. Our team reviews your lead and talks with buyers who fit your vehicle, location, condition, and title situation—such as used car dealers, scrap yards, and junkyards—and works toward the strongest committed offer we can for you. You generally see a seller-facing offer after a buyer has made a firm commitment—including pickup timing and known conditions—not from a vague “maybe” price.

Checking back

While we are still working on an offer, the page may refresh on a schedule. You can leave the tab open or return later; timing depends on your vehicle and market.
