Pickup and payment
What happens after you accept an offer on your status page.

RetireCar does not tow or pay you directly
RetireCar matches you with a buyer and presents their offer. RetireCar does not send a tow truck and does not send your payment when you accept. The buyer you accepted—often a used car dealer, scrap yard, junkyard, or similar—will contact you directly to coordinate a scheduled pickup and to pay you for the vehicle when they arrive.
After you accept
When you accept an offer on your status page, the selected buyer reaches out to arrange pickup, brings payment, and tows the vehicle away. Watch for their call, text, or email so you can lock in a time that works.
Payment
The buyer pays you at pickup when the vehicle matches what you described in your submission. RetireCar is not the party handing you cash or a check—the assigned buyer is.
Before pickup
- Expect a call or text from the buyer to schedule pickup.
- Choose a pickup time that works for you.
- Have the title and keys ready if you have them.
- At pickup, the buyer pays you and tows the vehicle away.
